The Future of Protestantism: A Public Conversation

Should the shape of Protestant theology and the Protestant consciousness still be determined by the Reformation’s reaction to Roman Catholicism? In late 2013, Dr. Peter Leithart ignited an  dialogue on the meaning, role, and future of Protestantism with a widely-read article at First Things.

On April 29th at 7:00 P.M., Dr. Leithart will join Dr. Carl Trueman, Dr. Fred Sanders, and Peter Escalante for a public conversation about these pressing questions. Is the Reformation over? How should American Protestantism relate to Rome or Eastern Orthodoxy? Will Protestantism need to change if it is to thrive in the 21st century?

We at the Torrey Honors Institute are delighted to partner with our friends at The Davenant Trust and First Things for this important event.
