LATC 2014: Advancing Trinitarian Theology

The first annual Los Angeles Theology Conference was a big success, and now we are moving forward with plans for future LATC meetings. Here are our topics for the next four years:

2014: Trinity

2015: Atonement

2016: Pneumatology

2017: Dogmatics

I’ll announce more details about each of those themes in due course. But we can already publicize the plenary speakers who have agreed to present at the 2014 Trinity conference:

Lewis Ayres, Bede Professor in Catholic Theology, Durham University; author of Augustine and the Trinity (2010).

Stephen Holmes, Senior Lecturer in Systematic Theology, University of St Andrews; author of The Quest for the Trinity (2012).

Karen Kilby, Associate Professor, University of Nottingham; author of Balthasar: A (Very) Critical Introduction (2012).

Thomas McCall, Associate Professor, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School; author of Which Trinity? Whose Monotheism? (2010).

Fred Sanders, Associate Professor, Torrey Honors Institute at Biola University; author of The Deep Things of God (2010).

The 2014 conference will be held January 16 & 17 at the campus of Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, and we will give it the whole LATC treatment: a call for papers that will bring in nine high quality parallel session presenters, an exhibit hall with the best gathering of theology publishers on the West Coast, and a conference volume from Zondervan within the year.
